I met Dave from Maui Kitchens at a local home show. At that time I was looking at companies to remodel my 1970s (dated) kitchen, which had dingy wallpaper, a linoleum floor, a soffit and some other design features that just didn't work, like a corner sink. It was a depressing space in need of a total makeover!

 

Dave took all my ideas into consideration in designing the kitchen I have now, which I love. I told him what I wanted, and he made sure everything was incorporated into the design; things like large pull-out drawers for pots and pans, a linen drawer, lazy susans for better accessibilty, and a built-in microwave drawer at a level that's convenient for me. The sink was also moved across the room under a window, so I have a view now while standing at it. Another feature he installed is a slimline range hood.

 

Throughout the design process I felt that Dave listened to me and went out of his way to be as helpful as he could be. Whenever choices were available, he presented me with options.

 

After the work began, the crews were able to keep the house neat and clean by taking away debris every night. I also didn't feel like I needed to stay in the house to keep an eye on what they were doing, because they kept me in the loop about the progress and did what they said they would. They were meticulous about the quality of the workmanship. For example, when there was a crack in a new cabinet door that I hadn't even noticed, they made sure a replacement was ordered.

 

I love my new kitchen and I would hghly recommend Maui Kitchens to anyone. I'm so happy with them that I'm now planning to have them renovate two bathrooms.
